COFI Earthquake Response Featured in Turkish and Nigerian Media

Following COFI's Hope Relief Mission to Turkey, responding to the catastrophic 7.5 magnitude earthquake that struck southern Turkey near the Syrian border on February 6, 2023, the Foundation's intervention was featured in the press.

On the Ground

COFI and its partner agencies distributed relief materials to over 5,000 earthquake victims across Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Hatay, and Malatya, bringing medical support, food, and the ministry of hope to affected families.

The mission highlighted the capacity of faith-based organisations to mobilise rapidly in the face of international crises and has since become a model for COFI's disaster response approach.
