COFI Responds to Catastrophic Texas Flooding

On the 4th of July 2025, torrential rains caused the Guadalupe River to rise by approximately 26 feet within 45 minutes, unleashing devastating floods that displaced families, businesses, and livelihoods across Texas, USA.
In a demonstration of COFI's global humanitarian reach, the Foundation extended support beyond Africa, deploying a delegation led by Esteemed Pastor Gloria Wiggle in partnership with Samaritan's Purse to assist with home remodelling in the affected city.
Our Response
COFI volunteers worked alongside local partners to:
- Assess and document structural damage to displaced families' homes
- Support home reconstruction and remodelling efforts
- Provide emotional and pastoral support to affected residents
- Distribute relief materials to the most vulnerable households
This mission underscores COFI's commitment to responding wherever humanitarian need arises, regardless of geography.
